Samuel de Champlain, Upbound

Samuel de Champlain, Upbound
Oil on linen/panel, 2011, 5x7"
Today's  daily oil painting is a view of the tug Samuel de Champlain and it's Barge Innovation  upbound in the Detroit river in late evening  light. The articulated tug/barge is part of the Lafarge Great Lakes  fleet operated by Andrie Inc of Muskegon.
We spent a nice evening on the Detroit River Walk yesterday, we are having some of the best weather of the year this week, enjoy.

We were in Hardy, Arkansas today with Sherry making small talk to the proprietor of one of the shop saying, “What a beautiful day.” her reply of ,”Oh yes it is.”, prompted me to intervene with, “And the weather is so nice too.” instantly got a smile from the proprietor and “You stinker.” from Sherry. Every day is a beautiful day it’s the weather that can be a bear to deal with at times.
