Maumee River Nocturne
Oil on linen/panel, 2011, 5x10"
Today's oil painting is an industrial nocturne of the Port of Toledo on the Maumee river.  This is the second painting with the new size panels I am trying out. I really like this new proportion and will probably order more panels in the future. What do you think?

I do like it Stephen. I think many of us have worked with the square format for a long time now and it's always a bit of a spur to try a different shape. I also like landscapes done "portrait" style on this size rectangle, so you get slices of buildings etc. The sky is very special in this one i think.
