Stephen, I've been following your postcards for a while, now, and this one, #3257 at Rouge Plant is a real winner. As the painter son, nephew and grandson of railroaders, this one really hit home for me, in addition to the fine painting that it is regardless of subject matter. Congrats on a fine painting.

I can feel the cold, and smell the oil, diesel, steel and creosote. Thanks

John, Wow, that means a lot coming from you. Thank you for looking and commenting. I have loved trains since I was a kid. I linked your site. Thanks, Stephen

Yeah, I love this one.... black and blue (your favorite color it seems), orange accents, graphically strong.

'Moonlit Rouge River' is also a real gem. I love black and nocturnes.

Simple and beautiful. Just goes to show that beauty can be found in life's most mundane subjects. You took a black train car and transformed its' shape and form into something wonderful.
