This is a great view, the building framed by the surrounding structure. Is it a hole in the roof or was it originally some open air section or maybe a glass ceiling?
You have so well documented Detroit I have seen some of the locations in the TV show Detroit 187, like this Central Train Station and recently Mack Ave Cows Head in a passing shot. That's pretty cool!

The opening is from missing glass. I have been enjoying Detroit 187, it has been showing Detroit in a fair and positive light. It is fun for me to see images I have painted in the show. I have linked your blog. Great work

Than you Stephen,
I have enjoyed your work since discovering it on the Painting a Day site and American Art Collector magazine.
I was born in Michigan, lived in Dearborn until only 8 yrs old. So never having seen it as an adult I know I can visit it through your paintings and photos to satisfy my curiosity.

Keep up the great work and keep documenting Detroit.
And Thank you for your words and link to my blog.
