I love this, the shadowed foreground is very dramatic. What is the bright orange in the center, at the base of the tree? It really draws my eye.
Like the subtle change from light to shadow and the nice touch of lit flowers against the black, nice one. All the best, steve
Thanks Maria and Steve, I bright orange is part of a building showing through the dark tree, it was very abstract.
Great piece Stephen. I enjoy the dramatic contrasts and the warm play of colors added by the grafitti. Also, I'm amazed by the stunning variety (compositions, subject approaches, color palettes) of your recent works. It's always a pleasure to visit your blog!
Thank you Pierre, that means so much coming from such a great artist. I thought it might get harder to find material the longer I did this, but it seems to get easier. Detroit is an interesting city for an artist.
I really like your light and shadow on this! nicely done!
