This daily painting is the third in the Detroit Vignette series of Detroit stories. And the eighty-first in the Abandoned , Portraits of Detroit series. This is a Michigan Ave building in late evening light. In the advertising business we called this time of day liquid light as it looked light the light had been poured onto everything giving it a warm glow.

congratulations. I like the way you compose, and the color rendering shape.

Hi Stephen, I like the last two, this one in particular. A lovely warm late afternoon light. I like the way it says more about our presence by painting our absence. All the best, Steve.
