Peony

To a collector in Cape Elizabeth, METoday's daily painting is a painting of a Peony bud in a flower bed in our back yard. We were sitting in the screened in porch and this bud caught my eye. I really liked the strong contrast of light and shadow. These are large beautiful white peonies with a streak of red.

Ahh, love that! I just bought peonies at Trader Joe's yesterday. They don't grow in CA. We're enjoying your daily paintings.
