When I first looked at this I found myself trying to decipher the word in the sign. Now here yesterday I’m with family in Colfax, Iowa and my future sister-in law is trying to make out what an “Old Dutch Cleanser” sign had to say.
Art imitating life or the power of the marketing?
I didn’t know they were called “Ghost Signs” . A little research came up with this amusing quote from one of the sign painters that I really liked.
“Anything but the wind”.
