This is a sad day for Detroit. I have been following your blog for about a month, and have been struck by the very important role you are playing in recording this historic time period in your city's history. I've never been to Detroit, but your painting style as well as subject matter tell me a lot about the strength and character of your city--as well as reflecting it's struggle for survival. Thank you, Kathy

Stephen, I meant to comment on this the other day then forgot. We have obviously heard the news about GM in the UK and how sad I felt to see the potential closures and pay offs. The biggest car manufacturer in the world at one time I think?
