This daily painting is a nocturne of the beautiful 1920's era Fisher Building. I used to work in a studio across the street from it in the late 1970's. Always a beautiful view, I had a window that looked out on it.

Your night scenes are mysterious. It's a subject rather little painted and you succeed it very well !

I love this building. It's across the street from the GM building. There's an underground city with tunnels connecting the two buildings with shops, restaurants, etc. I had a temp job in the GM building for for awhile and enjoyed going underground for lunch and then wandering over to the Fisher Building lobby, which is just as beautiful and ornate as the exterior.

do love your nocturnes and this one gives a 40's illustration feel.
